3.4 million Americans are legally blind while another 15 of the population has been diagnosed with dyslexia. That means one in every 7 Americans. With statistics like that chances are you or someone you know is dealing with one of these issues and that means you know how important it is to have the support you need.

There are a vast number of resources available throughout California. Support, assistance and tools come in all shapes and sizes. From finding just the right book to educate you on the subject to finding the right person to assist, learning centers both large and small to full on private academies.

If you are looking for help for yourself or a loved one or just want to learn more you might want to check out Learning Ally/Recording for the Blind. This non profit organization has been around since 1948 and offer more recorded textbook and literature titles than you will find anywhere else. The International Dyslexia Association offers a wealth of information, or check out Davis Dyslexia Association International, dedicated to training and learning.

With the right tools and the proper support those with learning disabilities and the visually impaired can overcome their problems.
